| The weather is nice and sunny, the trees and flowers are in bloom, the birds are singing and it seems it's phishing season. No, that's not a typo... I don't mean using a pole, line and hook to catch fish, I mean the efforts by unscrupulous people on the Internet to get people's passwords and steal their identities, credit card numbers and other personal information. |

| On to this month's topic which is "Extending your Network via the Internet". Since the Internet is an international network that extends to just about every place on the planet (certainly every place that is reading this via the web :-)), it is worth considering using the Internet to link remote users to your internal network or even to link parts of your network together. Leased lines to tie together private networks are very expensive, and in most cases, more expensive than an equivalent circuit to the Internet. |
